If you want ATL from the beginning, bid the 88. You will more than likely have one in your drop. If not, bid it anyway then when the next AE comes out bid ATL.

Hello,

1) What's an AE?
2) Is ATL a 717 base?
3) there has been about 6-8 320 offered to new hires lately. Any chance there will be more in the near future?
4) do new hire pay for their uniforms? If so how much do they cost?

Thanks

1 Advance entitlement. Allows you to move bases and equipment/seat (seat locks on equipment (one year for new hire), not base).

2. Oh yes

3. Who knows. Based on past history and the fact we are buying them, probably. Doesn't mean it'll be in your class.

4. Oh yes. Plan 500ish, 3 different providers, they all have varying new hire packages.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I'm quite excited about the opportunity but having new hires paying for hotel and uniform is a real disgrace for a company of that caliber.
I guess I have to "pay my dues" (when does that ever stop ?) 😃

When does the seat lock start? Once assigned the a/c on day one of indoc? Or can you change equipment on an a/e before you start training on said a/c?

Delta pays your hotel during indoc though. Also, if you are fortunate, you may get sim training in Miami for the 717 or A320, then Delta pays for your hotel there plus per diem. They also said there is a slim chance of getting MD88 sim training in Las Vegas! None for our class though.
