That is a very juvenile view of the stock buyback. Contrary to what many on here believe, the world does not revolve around us.
And if it goes down, you lose the raise, and for those that want "restoration" it is further away. There are tradeoffs in voting yes, and tradeoffs in voting no. Neither option is a clear winner

In my own personal opinion, corporate greed in America is getting completely out of control...it is obscene if you actually pay attention to the numbers and care anything about QOL for the middle and upper-middle class. That being said, this is the first time I've felt like I was part of a group who could actually make an impact or at least a meaningful statement on this condition.
I hope a majority of the voting members have the courage (because yes, there is risk in doing so) to vote no.
Management has every reason in the world to bring us all along up the earnings ladder, THEY just need the courage to do so and trust that we offer exceptional ROI (because we do).
RA simply has to understand that a few bad apple sick-abusers, and some occasionally irritating exploitation of OE trip buy-offs are not worth souring relations with the masses and completely losing pilot buy-in of his business model. My greatest fear is that no matter how the vote goes, management's overreach and DALPA's weakness have already caused irrevocable and significant harm. With decades at Delta ahead of me, I certainly hope this isn't true.

I would say that since they are paying 1/4 of the profits to the employees in bonuses, the activist investors/hedge fund managers/institutional investors, you know, the owners, are wondering where their cut is. Just a guess.
This is our workplace we are talking about. Our jobs. We are people. I have studied this thing, thought about it, pondered scenarios, talked at length to,roadshow guys, scope chair, fmr negotiator, reps. This thing is not fence sitting material.
No is the only possible vote for me. I believe I see around the corner. I I believe know what's next. Is that emotion? Is that reason?
All intel has flaws. Study the intel, go with your gut on the best plan.

And actually I was a hard no on day one but you wouldn't believe that anyway, and I couldn't care less. Your opinion is as meaningless as the mosquito I just squashed.
