Apparently SD couldn't do a base visit today due to being in negotiations with us.

Things are on the move now!

The openers were exchanged last week, which was a couple weeks earlier than originally planned (April 5 I seem to recall).

Your LEC Reps will be in the pilot lounges starting tomorrow, if you have any questions or want to provide any input, show up a bit early so you will have more time to talk with them.

Things to ask about:

April 1 raise to keep up with AA and UAL?

April 1 are they going to file the JV Compliance Grievance?

F/A's getting 4:45 for a day of training, while we only get 3:15?

I'm fine with the way it is. Pay-no credit.

The FAs have 4:45 per training day AND a 4:45 minimum day. while we have no minimum day at all.

We need 5:15 for both.

My logic might certainly be flawed in this, I am no expert. But if you keep the current vacation value (22~ish hours) and give a reserve guy only 11 days on call (18-a true 7= 11) and the reserve day pays the same, you end up short. if a vacation day is 5:15 (7x5:15=36 hours of pay) then the 11 days off reserve rate could stay the same.

I said before, if there is another way of getting me my three less days on call, and have my month pay the same as everyone else, I would be for it.

*gross mathematical errors are to be expected, I went to public school!

DALPA has agreed to keep management's opener confidential.

This is a huge mistake. If it was shown to the pilots, their ask for concessions would have to be much, much smaller.

Unacceptable.

Email Richard Anderson directly. He or someone else will get back to you. Why should D-ALPA have to release the company's opener? Why not the company itself? (Not saying I agree with you, that NOT seeing it is a huge issue, but to satisfy your curiosity ask to have it resolved outside of D-ALPA's response.)

Take a moment to consider why management does not want line pilots to see their opener?

The line pilots would be extremely upset.

By just releasing it they would have reduce their ask half or more.

I just don't know why you do this Sailingfun. Jerry's post adds JetBlue and that's what you jump on in multiple subsequent posts while ignoring the complete accuracy of the other airlines he lists.

I'll edit JetBlue out of Jerry's list:

Today we top out at 113:75 hours

For comparison

FedEx 216 hours
UPS 175 hours
Alaska 143.5 hours
UAL 136.5 hours

At the very minimum we must hit 4:00 per day. This would make our max 140 hour. 35 days x 4:00/day.

Hopefully much more. I see no reason why a vacation day should not be the same as ADG 5:15.
We lead the industry in not one single section of our contract. Not one. This comparison shows that we not only don't lead the industry in vacation, but we're nearly last.
