The Timbo Pilots Association can do everything the way YOU want it done. ALPA is going to compromise to capture what most of us want, because many of us have different priorities.
Some of us commute.
Some of us live in base.
Some of us are on Reserve.
Some of us will never be on Reserve.
Some of us fly only wide body international.
Some of us fly narrow body domestic.
Some of us have outside employment.
Some of us rely solely on our Delta income.
Some of us hate wearing the uniform hat.
Some of us don't mind it.
Some of us bid max earnings.
Some of us bid max time off.
The union that REPRESENTS YOU also REPRESENTS OTHERS.

Ohhhh, the BBQ forum. The perfect place to discuss C2012 ramifications.
Hopefully that forum isn't so big that you could find some of those posts you now cite?
Sorry I missed it too. Maybe you could give us a BBQ forum history lesson.
And part of the reason management refers to our contract as cost neutral.
So you arrive at your claim of 30% return by lumping pay rates, retirement and work rules. Got it. What you're missing is the costing sheets where we delineate the cost savings of our concessions. Therein lies the truth behind our cost neutral contract.
As has been thoroughly discussed, profit sharing cannot be costed out in the future, so there was no way for anyone to predict whether it would be a coup de gras, or a coup de crap.
Your facts are selective and incomplete. In other words, agenda driven spin. Why do you do that?

Without the other sections of true value our W-2 is minimum 30% more than before. How's that? Profit sharing and other pay improvements count. We can't cost out profit sharing into the future so it doesn't count? That sounds like BS to me. So let's covert it all to pay rates up to $5B in profits. Would it count then? Let me guess. No?
Seems you're the selective one. Vacation pay improvements, reserve pay improvements, training pay improvements, 5+15 per day pay improvement, profit sharing. It ALL counts. It doesn't have to be all pay rate improvements. Everyone else knows they're making 30%+ more no matter how you slice it. (That's why they're so protective of their beloved profit sharing. Giddy in fact.)
Seems my facts are much more complete.
Hate to let the sun shine on your rainy day.
But hey, I'll take another 30% in the next contract. I'll take 40%. And I don't really care how they slice it.

Is the Tail supposed to wag the Dog, or should the Dog (the pilot group) be telling the MEC what WE want, and tell them not to bring us another lame T/A with another lame 4,8,3,3?
Explain this mythical "Support" to me, please.

The rest of your list is already afforded through a line pilots decision to trade off with their overall seniority.

I'm sorry Karnak, you are right, I should have said represent US. Now, tell me exactly how I am supposed to "Support the NC". Or "Support my Rep"? Am I supposed to pledge blind allegiance? After the stunt they pulled the last time? Are you kidding me?

1. Complete the survey.
2. Attend every LEC meeting you can.
3. Reading everything ALPA sends us (yes, even the stupid stuff)
4. Call, email, and corner your reps.
5. Ask questions.
6. Participate in "Call to Action" efforts.
7. Volunteer if you can.
8. Praise in public - Criticize in private.
9. Don't take it personally if your priorities don't always match the collective goal.

Thanks for making my point!
How much MORE do most of us have to get to consider it acceptable?
Do you have any information that suggests the next contract will not have MORE? So far all I've heard is that there is some disagreement over how much MORE is acceptable.
Really?
How should Reserve be handled? Should seniority rule in all cases, or should assignments be spread out equally?

They need your support and need to hear from you. I mean that as plainly as I can say it.

I mean they literally need your support. They need to hear your wants and contract opinions. There are many times over the years when I heard from reps after the action was over, "We never had the membership behind us to push things." If people are quiet they do not exist. I also heard, "We didn't have the support for a strike." was another quote I heard before. That's why we compromise for what we do. If there is a loud voice, something with spine behind "heightened expectations" then we will get more. If people are wallflowers they'll get what they deserve.

The MEC has to LEAD first, then the Pilots will follow, just like we did in 2000.
So... why haven't we even heard a peep out of the MEC about Restoration?
