Ok. You talk the talk but can you do the walk? Have you sent in a letter requesting the agenda of a recall of your reps. ATL, right? Serious.

Meet your new Master--- Delta Health Services! Careful now: From date of signing on, everything you say or do will be fair game for a company doc to evaluate your ongoing fitness to exercise your FAA medical. You see, you just handed control of your livelyhood to the company, as well as your right to privacy.

Best keep a low profile and not make any waves, or you might find yourself up for another 'evaluation'. It'll go like this... You feeling alright? Your ** ex, the gate agent, the A line ** called and said you were upset... We see that you're wearing a DPA lanyard... are you happy with your job here? Whoa, don't get angry now... I think you might be depressed... let me just grab that medical from you... We'll be in touch...

This has nothing to do with so-called sick leave abuse. It's about power and control. Your union and the company sold you a 'problem' and got you to pay for a solution to an entirely different issue.

Why do you think they established "FAA Leave" ? It goes hand in hand with the new policy.

Default FAA Leave

Let's discuss the new FAA Leave. What is it?

It's the hammer that the new Master, DHS, will use to keep you in line. Who tells DHS what to do? Well, the company pays them. So they do.

So what is FAA Leave then? It's unpaid, indeterminate, limbo.

Why would you be placed on FAA Leave? For any reason the DHS, your new Master, deems appropriate. It's possible you may never know the reason.

You and your dependents will have to apply for COBRA, and you can't non rev. No unemployment because technically, you aren't unemployed. It's not disability, so no DPMA. You are 'parked'.

Until you can behave, or be more productive, or wear your hat, or anything that the DHS feels is in the company's best interest. It really doesn't matter the reason, because as pilots, our medical is our livelihood. That's why your union, in association with the company, agreed to set it up.

Now they control you. Pretty neat, huh.

This TA sucks, but this is one bizarre conspiracy theory. Put away the tinfoil hats and enjoy the rest of your day.

Ah. So you think that sick leave was the company's number one priority because it's so much worse than other airlines. Ok. Obviously you've never worked for a regional. If I hadn't seen these things first hand at other companies, I would probably not have noticed either.

Don't shoot the messenger. I know it's hard to believe, but it's a big part of this TA, and it needs to be discussed.
Your medical is your job. Don't be so quick to give up control of it.

Signing a card for DPA, is not a vote for DPA. It is a vote for a run off between DPA and ALPA.

The more pressure we bring, the more money in our next TA.

The 6% hourly increase does not exist. It is eliminated by reducing profit sharing. A reduction the vast majority of Delta pilots opposed.

Talk to every Delta pilot you see. The insiders are now pushing for a rushed vote before the pilots not on a forum find out the truth.

A new TA is a win for us and a win for management. They got theirs and then some. It our turn.

It's funny that DPA said the opposite. The more you fragment and divide the group the less money you can demand in negotiations. For that reason they pledged to end all efforts almost a year before we would exchange openers for contract 2012. They would not go back on their word would they?

FAA leave is FULL PAID leave that allows you to get a paycheck for up to 60 days WITHOUT using any of your sick leave hours.

It is there for pilots who have passed a Class 1 Medical Cert. with your AME but the FAA has not processed the "thumbs up" yet.

That is hilarious. Which part of the raises in this TA did we demand, the .25%?
