Exception one: A widebody category pilot may be assigned a FRMS short call on the first on-call day following an off day block if the short call is placed on his schedule no later than 1200 (pilot’s base time) on the last on-call day prior to the beginning of the off day block. The pilot will be on rest from the time the pilot was assigned short call prior to the beginning of the off day block until the start of the FRMS short call.

Understanding the steps to self-help in the RLA is imperative for any unionized worker in the transportation industry. They can be pretty intricate for the first time user. DAL has never gotten to the final steps of this process. I don't think they have ever made it to mediation. NWA is all too familiar with it. Once you learn the process, the steps fall into place.
Except for C2012, bankruptcy, and the JCBA, I pretty sure we have been in mediation for every contract negotiation since I've been here...
The first step doesn't take place until the end of the year. We are well ahead of that with the voluntary negotiations that have just concluded.
If this TA is rejected, there is nothing to stop either the Company or DALPA from reengaging in negotiations prior to the amendable date at the end of the year. In fairness, I have to point out that both sides would have to agree to it. There is nothing to compel them other than mutual self-interest.

I wouldn't shoot down a C150, but I have intercepted a few. All kidding aside, the block hour ratio in place of EASK is a huge concession. I could get behind a 60/40 split, min size on Delta flown JV aircraft and forced compliance on the existing JV.

Here is my take. For this contract, I think it is too late to change horses in mid stream. That being said, if this TA passes and becomes our contract, I will fill out a DPA card and send it in. It's sad to me. Never in a million years thought I would say that....

The first thing to come to grips with is the fact that no matter how you slice it, it is more money. It is more money period. For Delta dudes (gender neutral use of dude) it gets us to C2K + a little. No it is not inflation adjusted. For fNWA it gets the highest rates ++inflation. on average the same equipment is their highest rates plus 20% or more.
There are lots of ways to slice this so we lose money with higher rates.
