Delta management sells Fear, Uncertainty, and Division. They create a problem and then they present a solution as if its the only possible solution on earth. That solution is always good for Delta management and terrible for the pilot group. You are badly mistaken if you think anything management offers a pilot group is good to go on the 1st iteration. This is a company that was printing billions a year and couldn't possibly negotiate a contract with its pilots in 2019 but in the midst of a pandemic and record losses was able to provide substantial management bonuses and golden parachutes to key executives who have bailed on this ship.
If your MEC doesn't let you vote, they need to be recalled and replaced. If this is taken to a vote and you vote yes, you're damning yourself by giving away mainline scope for free and you set a precedent of cowing to management demands which management will not forget. If Delta really wants those 35 RJs, they should bring them to mainline and hire appropriately to staff them.

I am curious though, if we stood in front of the bullet and sacrificed correctively for the Delta pilot group, how will we be rewarded for our sacrifice?

We have been dealt a full house because the dealer wants it.
We shouldn't play it?

that same fear and division they sow is what has convinced you that it's our responsibility to fight this for you. If you were truly united with us you wouldn't ask us to throw away our potential career advancement, relationships with management, future negotiating capital, and goodwill we've accumulated to defend your contract. We didn't ask for this deal, they dropped it on the desk and said take it or leave it. It costs us nothing to say yes and everything to say no.

I recognize this is a done deal at the E9 level, too many Americans will trade their future for something shiny now, I don't agree with that attitude but I accept that lack of wisdom prevails. Delta management is the typical playground bully, you don't negotiation or reason with bullies, you kick their butts. We may win or lose in arbitration but the only way Delta management learns a lesson is a good kick in the teeth, hopefully they get one in this instance.

You're not taking a bullet for the Delta pilot group, you're dodging a bullet aimed at the E9 pilots. Voting no for this (if you get to vote) helps both groups, not just 1. Doesn't it make you scratch your head that there was ZERO negotiation at your MEC level and now they want to ram-rod this down your throats without a vote?

If EDVALPA kills this, is DALPA going to use their collective bargaining power to secure progression for Endeavor pilots?
