Interesting turn of events.
Delta Update:
ALPA will officially file a MEC grievance to halt the operation of RJs over 188, stating:
"Delta's management kept our most junior pilots on roller coaster ride for months, threatening furloughs while operating excess RJs".
Source: Email to members.
So DALPA wants to ground all of DCI?

Sure was nice to see all the reactions though. Good time to shut down all the flow threads.

I’m completely aware of what delta did. Have plenty of close friends over there. Just saying this time last year we all thought our jobs were gonzo. It wasn’t one particular pilot group. The entire industry/nation was in panic mode.

A flow is a great backup, it’s something you can keep in your back pocket incase you don’t get hired with the carrier of your choice. That being said I don’t blame 9E guys for wanting it. I will warn you guys though, this flow will hurt the pilots who are right in the middle of the list. All pilots who are junior captains trying to get their 1000 hours and want to go to delta will get screwed. Assuming youre qualified, your number could of come up this year for an interview with delta under the current program. Instead you’re going to have to wait until you can flow. I promise you delta will not hire 9E pilots outside the flow. Ask me how I know this? This same exact thing happened to me at an American wholly owned. Also don’t expect the number of flows to increase from 20 a month, that 20 pilots a month is in language of LOA 9.

No, I assume that the 9E MEC will not let this go to MEMRAT and even if they do it will pass and it will be up to DALPA to win in arbitration. I always expect pilots to vote for what is in their best interest, I just don't see how selling mainline jobs for regional jobs is in anybody's best interest. Think of how many retirements are coming up in the next 10 years -- a flow might sound nice now but you don't need it. Don't kick yourself in 10 years for having sold scope for pennies on the dollar and the false security blanket of some flow that you might or might not ever get to use.
but if you succeed in doing it yourselves, I’m good with that too. It benefits us all for you to do that.

Seriously. The planes are ALREADY PARKED. They don’t need to remove what is already removed...
