Can somebody please refresh my memory on the process that some use to get realeased early on reserve by volunteering for ready reserve? Do you bid p2 or p1? I can't remember the process used. Thanks.

Unless someone calls out last second. They're pretty up to speed about throwing on flying the night before. I've yet to get a "2 hour call out" about something . Ive pretty much known about the flying for several hours or the day prior and then self notify. Just check flica around 10pm or when you first wake up. That's when you usually throw stuff on.
At least once a week I get the 2 hr call out so I don't know what this is about.
Not going to call that day? Are you serious? They call every day.

That's correct. Even if you're p2 they should adjust your release time on the prior day to allow for p1 on the last day.

But you also haven't forced the lifers out of MSP or DTW... Yet.... (for a reason) You do and I bet most retire/quit... they aren't going to commute to New York for sure, or fly the 200 if they don't live there either....open SLC/SEA and we'd see.... keep everything in a co-domicile New York and this airline better plan a shrinking fleet for a while again...hell maybe that was the plan all along to park the 200's... shrink to just a size of guys willing to work out of NYC for less than a going wage there. While chasing off anyone not living there or willing to commute there at current cost.... brilliant... then you staff Blow Jet with us not willing to move... right out of the whipsaw playbook.... I hear Envoy and Piedmont are hiring though.
Russ said the 200s are on a 3-5 year plan. Delta is doing the Delta shuffle until other contracts expire. If we continue to hire what DNeeds then we will get more planes. I've heard the 200s leaving NY will go to DTW and MSP. Take everything with a grain of salt including my post. Don't jump ship just because of rumors and opinions. Especially to GoJet!

I still remember our DO being the last to know we were parking the Saabs for Delta and we were in the 5 yr plan.

It would seem that, for you, reason is only what you agree with?

I prefer to use reality not "sky is falling" from alternate fact finders.
