Default Negotiation Update

The company made a wage proposal reflecting average monthly pay credit that we believe is higher than warranted by the data, and which also extended the CA scale to 14 years.

What does that mean? Why are we not told what the company is offering? We used to back in the day however everything is done in secret now.

Sounds like the company wanted to divide the retention bonus at a higher credit than what the union thought it was worth. Which in return would give us a lower hourly rate than what they think it's worth. I feel they should use 75 hrs a month.

Also why would you want to hear what the company offered if it's not adequate. If it won't pass the NC then it certainly wouldn't pass the pilot group. We are no where near that point yet.

Hi all, I am heading back to school and flying with Endeavor. I was wondering if there is any way the cockpit crew would be okay with me watching their preflight procedures? If this is a possibility how would I go about asking for permission? Thanks for your time!

I guess as long as we are at the gate, no engines running, cockpit door open that would be fine. It's kind of the same as a little kid coming up and taking a peek in my book. Just try and catch them at the gate or ask the gate agent for permission by having her ask the flight crew beforehand and state why etc.

If you're just heading to training on your positive space ticket, just ride in the back and don't worry about it until you're in CASS and can do your familiarization jump seat flights. You'll get more out of those. By the time passengers start boarding we've got everything finished. A gate agent would probably not allow you to go down early as a normal ticketed passenger, but as a jumpseater you can go down with the crew

I agree with you it should be 75 hours, however back in the day the MEC used to share with the pilot group what was being offered so as to give us better input into the process. Things we like or didn't like. I just feel like we're not very well informed on the process or with the way things are going. I understand if nothing is happening but at least we used to get weekly updates (most of the time). Just my 2 cents.

The current DL ALPA agreement allows for no new additional delta connection aircraft through 31Dec2019. Does anyone know if it contains language that allows for a "trade".... turn in 2 200s get one 700/900??..

Pretty sure not, but a LOA could be signed to include that.
70 seat 900's could replace crj700's now though I think
