Currently, but when flights are delayed/cancelled there may be a change of heart

Doubtful. They knew exactly what they were doing by opening up that base. Any contract states that you have to show up to work when you are told. I bet a lot of people are going to be using that commuter clause.

If a lot of people use it theyll need pos space because those flights arent going anywhere.

They already pos space a ton of crews that commute. I bet they will even do more into ATL.

As much as I want us to be successful I say screw it as far as going above and beyond to get to work. Some guys spend the whole day before the start of their trip trying to get to work because daddy D over books their flights or there's a list of retirees 20 deep. Just have your two options and use the commuter clause. I don't like missing work and I have nothing against retirees but wasting a day at the airport gets old. When they get tired of burning through reserves like crazy maybe they'll do something to fix the problem. No one is asking to be above Delta all the time but it would make life a lot easier to at least have higher priority over retirees when going to work.

It would be nice if they just positive spaced us after one attempt.

OUCH😬😬 Oh wait I forgot. We may be owned by Delta, but we are in reality nothing more then the junior varsity squad. Next time a Mainline employee walks by I will be sure to take a knee and bow my head

Yea, most of the time the second option is going to look bad especially if there are a lot of non revs left over from the first option. It's just silly that every time this issue is brought up it seems like the answer comes off as "no you can't get higher priority, did you all forget who you all are" as if it's personal to mainline mgmt.
