You have a lot of opinions about flow.

With the way hiring is going no one will need a flow unless you have a really messed up record.

1) Yea, all my friends are getting the call. Some get 2 calls a day. 🙄

2) ya'll gotta let go of the Flow and focus on obtainable gains. It's unlikely if it's our idea DL will agree, however IF they need a flow they will bring it and not before. Quote from BW almost a year ago.

For now they will hold onto their precious hiring practices, resist the flow, and those of us with fuzz on top will keep our hairdo intact.

The Flow talk now has gone silly. Don't me wrong, I'd like the option, but it's far far away (if ever)

3) I've done a 180 on this TA, I'm gonna vote to take the money, $13.5 million the first year, before it's off the table. Daddy DL doesn't like to be told "no". A Bird in the Hand....

Been reading, lots of good info.
What can a new hire with 1000 121 time reasonably expect? I'm local to NYC. Quick upgrade to NYC captain? Reserve for how long? Short call versus airport?
Also looking at Envoy... but that looks like years long airport reserve from my reading.
Appreciate it.

There should be an uptick in quick upgrades again I’m assuming with all the “new” aircraft we are taking. I got the vacancy when I was here about 6 monthes. Company time I have seen lowered to about 250 hours or so. Plan on sitting reserve for a lot longer than someone who was hired in 2015 that’s gonna upgrade. If you’re New York local then won’t be to bad since you don’t have to commute.

Also prior 121 time. Started in Jun and finished OE after Labor Day for the CR9 at LGA. Reserve rest of September, October and probably November. With the number of LGA new hires below me is should get a line in December. I sat airport ready reserve 3 times in September and have not done it since. It is Jr assigned unless you bid for it (some like it for day 1 or day last of Reserve block). Unfortunately I didn’t have First outin my standing bid, so I’ve been used very little since OE. Others have been more lucky. JFK CR9 guys look like they’ll be on reserve longer than LGA, but they seem to be used more. Of course that could change at anytime, especially if we have another vacancy or the TA goes thru with a combined NYC base.

November schedule is up on FLICA. I would check CrewTrac but for some reason it will not allow passwords longer than 6 characters to be entered as of this afternoon. So there is that.

When you say very little, how little? Like how many block hours and per diem per month?
