yup I sure do. Sure does get tiring dude after dude doing the same BS. Not all do that I've had some sharp newbies, but unfortunately the majority learned something in the sim or on OE that isn't right.

My buddy is in new hire and wanted JFK 900 and was awarded DTW 200. Does that seem odd to anybody? He bid in the correct order from what he tells me.

Did someone below him get JFK900?.

We’re not talking about much unless someone below him got awarded what HE wanted.

I wasn’t asking like that. I was just surprised that in new hire class you can’t get 900 NY. I was surprised he got DTW. I don’t have any specifics and I am going to look into it further.

Grumpy old CA: “That ain’t a flight director, it’s only a flight suggester.”

7-22 talks about RNAV, but nothing has changed from Rev3B that I can find. (CFM 10-2)

7-16 does get rid of the requirement to select HDG or NAV mode at 400’. (Rev3B CFM 10-19) Now to be selected right after speed mode at V2+10, at V2+10-15 KIAS.

FOM 8-12 already requires the FD and LDI for all RNAV SIDs, and recommends use of A/P.
It's in rev 4 in the CFM. It has a line next to it signifying a change. It's nearly exactly as I quoted it.

I'm in Dallas looking to jump into the airline world. Currently flying captain 135 on a super-mid jet. I really prefer not to move. I'm attracted to Endeavor over Envoy because of the great things I've been reading, and of course, the better pay. How hard is the commute out of Dallas and what do the schedules look like?

Thanks for any help guys

I’m sure you know DFW used to be a DL domicile until about 2005. I’d say it’s probably one of the top 3 worst outstation commutes in the DL system. If you commute to ATL and you don’t have 10 years Mainline seniority you’re likely 2 legging or buying a Spirit ticket.

That being said we’ve got guys that commute to LGA and DTW and seem to not have as many problems.

It’s worth noting that you WILL be forced displaced to LGA 145 when you upgrade at Envoy anyways... you’re going to be a commuter either way.
