Where I fly, we're supposed to climb in speed only- and sometimes its fine. But I like to switch to vertical speed and make small adjustments if it's "porpoising" in speed... I always ask captains if it's ok if course.. it just makes for a smoother ride.
Is this ok at ENV or would that **** off CAs or go against policy?!
Whatever your heart desires. As far as I know there’s nothing dictating which mode to use.

Any mode you want. Speed, VS, Pitch. I find pitch to be the best for me (above 10K), in most cases. But have used them all.

Vs or 290 climb.

Or you can just tell us what we are listed as now...

Because we aren't looking on travelnet.

No changes, I listed a short while ago. We are still S3B1 and retirees are S3B.

The training department stresses speed mode in the climb and VS for descents. But out on the line you can use whatever works best for the situation.

What would life be like for someone who comes with 1000 121 time and wants to upgrade in NYC? How long would reserve be and how often is a rsv CA used? How many days off? How long to hold the 900 in NYC? I’m debating making the move. Upgrade where I am is still about a year away. Thanks.

If you're here before mid jan youd upgrade on first vacancy of year, go through class within 3 or so months. Reserve is 12 days off, NYC is easy to get. 900 depending how long 200 takes to park

Upgrades are still going fast to those who want and New York to anyone who so desires. Just prepare to sit reserve a few years. I’d imagine holding a like somewhere in the 2020 range. But New York captains are flying a ton. I’ve averages maybe about 90-100 credit hours every month. Also it’s hard to drop trips and Reserve days becuase we are short captains. ATL on the other hand.... Just dropped my whole month and am gonna pick up open time instead of sitting reserve.

Yea but that's just right now. Surely that will change as the base changes. Don't forget January is a down flying month. I was awarded 21 days off last January and next month. Two years running.
