Without jumping on any particular party here, I hope everyone sees this for more than it appears.

Social media has changed the world for better and worse. Perhaps we should all conduct ourselves online as if our Mom were looking over our shoulder?

Well, maybe not my Mom? She swore like a sailor, loved to gossip and was a manipulative bully.

How about Mrs. Brady from The Brady Bunch? (just please ignore the fact that Florence Henderson had an affair with the actor who played her stepson...eeewwwww)

Okay. Let's go with that.

While online, Mrs. Brady is looking over your shoulder.

Everyone is correct. I need to take a step back and put my foot in my mouth sometimes. I apologize Jason. If i see you in person ever I’ll be sure to stop and say it there too.

Shopping for regionals here. While EDV clearly leads in the money department, I'm wondering about the flight benefits (which I intend to use a lot).

- Do the benefits apply to SkyTeam partners (e.g. Korean air, Air France, etc)? Do you also get on first/business with partners?
- Can you 'check-in' 24h prior the flight to pretty much guarantee your seat (like it's done with ENY and the AAG), or is there always a chance to get bumped last minute by a mainline guy or someone ranking higher?

I thought January 1 paychecks were supposed to reflect new rates. Maybe that was a rumor I was hoping for? Lol

Yes you can get a Zed fare with the SkyTeam partners. I don't think they will upgrade you to first/business but policies may vary between airlines.

No, you can still get bumped last minute. Though we should finally be above retirees sometime next year.z

Work you perform in January will be under the new rates.

Flight benefits do not extend to the parners you mentioned to my knowledge. I have only tried to fly on Korean Air myself, and we are not allowed to book. Only DL and the contract carriers.

The only thing guaranteed by checking in 24 hours prior is to see your name on the CHECKED IN list. You will also get to see where you are, priority wise. Unlike AA, you can be bumped at any time by anyone who holds a higher priority than you. Not just mainline, but even an EDV employee who was hired the day prior to you. If the plane fills up without you, you are simply “rolled over” to the next flight, or you are free to book ZED fares with OAL.

You can get upgraded to 1st Class (comfort +, Delta One, etc.) on any DL or DCI flight.
