Maybe, but remember, Delta is starting its new university program this year, so there will be a large increase in training/flying here to accommodate those pilots. I could see Delta shifting a lot of regional flying to these pilots, as they are technically mainline hired Delta pilots.

oh the rumors
For what it’s worth, I and about 10 others had a talk with JD, the former COO, about two weeks before he left. He said delta’s plan for DCI is to have two carriers (us and SKW) and both of them to operate both the CRJ and the E175. As well as both flying out of all of delta’s hubs. Like others have said, delta never wants all of their eggs in a single regional basket ever again.

I could see that being a reasonable medium to long term plan. Real far out though I could see it going to just EDV. I just don't see SKW being able to staff themselves long term, especially if EDV goes to the west coast and gives west coasters a base option.

Probably very redundant here, but just looking to get an idea of commuting for Endeavor. I'd be commuting from BOS. Anyone have this or similar commutes?

QOL is priority for me with a family at home. Commuting day prior/day after with 1 day off sounds miserable. The commuting policy seems decent, especially from a big hub like BOS (2 flights to get to work policy).

Can anyone attest to commuting day 1 and getting back home on their last day? Also, is a 4/3 schedule to be expected in NYC? Thanks guys.

I commute from BOS. it's very easy and i have rode the jumpseat maybe twice in like a year. Something to consider is that the shuttle flights are usually the first to be cancelled. Once you do it enough you start to see what works and what doesn't. Try avoiding to commute on a saturday and keep an eye on the flight loads cause with the shuttle people swap flights all the time. I've had one call in honest and that was because i tried commuting in after an IROP so everyone was trying to leave at same time. American can also be a lifesaver and I'd take advantage of them if you can, they've gotten me to work many times when I thought for sure I wasn't gonna have a chance.

Also because of how close we are to LGA and the frequency of flights, what might not be commutable to most is commutable from BOS. I'd say most trips are commutable. Every month in the summer I probably had 1 or 2 trips that I had to commute in the day before because they started far too early. But a majority of trips are commutable on the end. Occasionally you'll run into trips that are done at like 1030 or 11 and then your stuck waiting till the morning (the 6 am flight from LGA to BOS though is always open).

Most trips are 4 and 5 day trips. 5 days are guaranteed commutable and 4 days are hit or miss. if you want 3 days off between trips its easily doable. I think Ive had a line for 6 months and have only done 2 days off between trips twice. most are 3 to 4 with a longer stretch of 5 or so thrown in. (this would be in the summer, in the winter ive had 2 months now of 21 days off and ridiculous stretch's of days off which is great for QOL and not having to deal with the winter storms)

All in all BOS really isn't that bad of a commute and I don't really stress much over it. you have lots of options and lots of wiggle room to make stuff work.

He told a huge group of us it was three dci carriers. Which makes sense. DL owns a stake in rah.

Considering there is no regional with a BOS base, Endeavor is *easily* your number one option. I understand the hourly shuttle flights are rarely booked full and with our commuting policies it would be a breeze. The hardest part of the commute would be transferring from the American or jet blue terminals at LGA to the Delta terminal if you ended up taking them to work.

You can expect a 4 on 4 off schedule or even better on the 900 in NY as an FO... about 14-18 days off a month. Some guys are getting 20-21 days off a month without using vacation. Additionally, for the months you are reserve you should be easily able to commute in on day 1 and home on the last day... so you'll truly get 12 days at home.

As we have a lot of commuters, commutability is definitely there (all our 5 day trips are commutable) but it goes senior. You'll get some commutable starts or ends each month as soon as you hold a line, but give it a year as an fo and you won't need a crashpad.

Also one thing to add: Delta is doubling down on Boston this summer and adding lots of new 900 routes/frequencies such as CHS. You can expect a few overnights in Boston a month if you preference it in our bidding system...

Nope. But overall endeavor is a much more commuter friendly airline than republic especially when you can hold 5 day trips. Positive space on the second attempt. With a short frequent commute like BOS or DCA almost every trip should be commutable.
