I don't know about the 175's, but the three dci carrier concept is public knowledge. Ed Bastion said it was his goal to be down to three by end of 2018. Didnt way which ones, but read between the lines. Rah, us, and skywest. Our new COO said as much in a training class in January. 3 DCI carriers.

And as mentioned before, our COO and new CEO will both retain their positions at DL overseeing all DCI carriers. So I'm thinking they'll represent our interests quite well while deciding who gets DCI flying.

Is 9E in a position to staff that many more planes? Especially with attrition bound to increase due to the increased hiring at majors?

If it happens, I guess we'll find out.

Absolutely. Look at how long it takes to get a call back to interview, get into a class once you receive a CJO. If there is growth, people will make lateral moves to chase the upgrade, coupled with great pay. Unless some United feed gets a flow. Some regionals are going to be dying off while Endeavor continues to grow

Dude, all this is conjecture. And some of it pretty wild at that. All I’m going to say at this point is, Delta doesn’t like the 200’s. And they like the 700’s just a little bit more than the 200’s because they have a first class section. However, first class passengers prefer a front lav. I’m not going to try and guess how this will turn out in the end.

Correct. After we get the EV planes, the DCI 7/900 fleet will be:

G7: 22 DL owned 700's, 7 G7 leased 900's
OO: 2 DL owned 700's, 25 OO owned 700's, 11 DL owned 900's, 25 OO owned 900's
9E: 3 DL owned 700's, 95 DL owned 900's, 14 DL leaseback 900's

I don’t like G7’s chances of keeping the 700’s if Delta does indeed want to reduce The number of regionals flying for them.

Yes but the majors are planning on hiring roughly 4,000 this year. A very large chunk of those will be regional pilots. So first you have to hire to make up for that attrition. Not saying they can’t do it, especially if one or more regionals close up shop or are acquired for bodies.

The majors hired over 4900 last year (2017). It will likely be closer to 6000 in 2018.

Don’t doubt your numbers, but can you provide the source?

Does this include the LCC hires? Some of those are backfills for hires to the 3 legacies, etc. so are sort of a double count if you will.
