Have we all done the employee survey yet? Can I suggest we try and put a stop to these firebreaks? Or at least limit them? 12+ hour duty days and only flying 2-3 legs is ridiculous. I don't think they quite understand how tiring sitting around for hours actually is..

I don’t think firebreaks are the problem. They wouldn’t be an issue really if we had duty rigs and higher min day

Those reserve threshold numbers are complete bolloxs. DTW was short 16 captains a few days back yet the day wasn’t showing critical pay and there were no reserve days in open time.

Bingo, there should be an automatic trigger that if a day is red, 150% reserve days are available to bring the day to black, and if it's short by (pick a number) then that automatically triggers 200%. This reserve grid is faker than Donald Trump on a 3 Dollar bill. It was one of my commented items in my survey. Hopefully someone reads it and takes action.

That would be a very good idea.

I would even be willing to give up 150% pay on originally schedule RSV days if it meant I could drop to re-arrange my reserve schedule. Or perhaps grab some guaranteed flying in place of some RSV days; really anything to help boost QOL for reserve commuters.

The notice for the NYC union meeting on May 25th said some Delta reps will be guest speakers. Is that normal? I've only been to one meeting at JFK.
