It's on the front page of our website. The planes are going to Skywest to replace their 700s.
It now makes financial sense to sell us off in the next 5 years, if we aren't getting any growth. They may still go down to 3 regionals, and TSH is making it financially painful for Delta to split with them.

Flying gets shuffled all the time. OO getting 20 planes to replace 20 planes they already operate really isn’t a big deal. If it was growth, maybe it’s a big deal, but it’s status quo

The flow will take 10 years, and after that first year the CA pay blows a gorilla compared to our hourly pay. If they raised their actual hourly to match or better ours then that would be a winner. However, as of now they seem to have their heels dug in for not doing so. Seems like they're getting enough direct entry CAs from other sinking ship airlines like G7 and XJT, along with the the forced upgrades into the LGA 145, that they don't feel the need to take on DL/EDV by bringing their pay to our level.

Cool, more people sitting home getting paid. They can't handle the training volume they have now. They need to get more instructors, sims, and check airmen before they do any additional hiring. Currently on my 3rd 3 week sit since training started. It will be 4 months from date of hire to LOE with no failures or repeated lessons. Oh yea, and people are currently waiting a month to start IOE. Only thing that will be growing is the back up in the training pipeline.

A fair bit of the backups have been due to the shuffle of people from the 200 to the 900. Lots and lots of guys being put on the 200 to replace guys moving to the 900, and not many 200 sims available. Now that the seat lock is in place, things should be in balance soon and it shouldn’t be a problem getting 55 through a month if they are split 65% 900 35% 200. Most will be nearing upgrade when their seat lock is up. Plus, the possibility of another sim is always possible. The company got the new PHX sim up and running very quickly last summer. Who knows that they have up their sleeve, but I’m fairly confident it’s growfh (which will come with a new sim as the last growth spurt did) otherwise they wouldn’t be hiring more than 35 a month.
