You get 2 attempts via the SSP. Being that you are asking about it, you likely are not part of the ssp and will be in the current program or improved program being worked on.
Basically, everyone knows that you can have a bad day. The idea is that you get 2 tries with DL if you are having a bad day, but a solid work history (attendance, training record, etc).
The ssp has been a 60ish% pass rate for endeavor folks. Some didn't show up prepared, some bombed the HR, some had training/attendance issues, others leave the rest of the group (knowing them) perplexed as to why they were turned down as they had clean records, good folks, and many were highly qualified as APD's, sim check airman, line check airman, or solid line pilots, or reserve pilots dealing with the fact of being junior.
From what I am hearing the new program is designed to only weed out those who are the "problem children" with attendance, discipline, and/or training issues.
Basically, serve some time gaining experience and move on. As you have heard in this thread, some don't want DL but interviewed for experience (personal preference), some tried and were turned down for no logical reason, some made it through to the shock of others, some didn't even apply, some where turned down and the reasons in the record were clear. NOT pointing fingers, but it's a message board. Each pilot has their own circumstances.
The overall goal at this point, from both endeavor mgmt and DL management, is a program to hire talent at the endeavor level and those who keep a clean record and are determined will move to DL.
Sorry for any hard feelings that causes to those who have been at "endeavor" for many years, and prior to any of the hardships that plagued the creation of endeavor. General statements.

F in eavesdropping. One person giving their opinion is hardly a "conversation." You happened to stumble upon the 1 pilot in the whole organization that thinks the hotel policy change is evidence of a staple/flow. The other 1524 pilots aren't having a hard time figuring out why the hotels changed.

I'm sure it has more to do with the show times which will change soon anyway. Seems dangerous to me anyway especially on the 200 to have the FA go off alone to a different hotel, but in some of those places they do stay in some nice hotels.
