Anybody have an idea of how many crew members have caught the virus? It seems like we should be dropping like flies, given we operate in the hot spots.

I’m concerned about the company blatantly violating the contract. How do you not see that as an issue?

This is not the time to give concessions to the company.

Pretty strong word to be throwing around. Especially from someone ignorant of its meaning.

I just read about an ESPN commentator who “felt tired” and was able to get tested but it remains difficult for the general public with no or mild symptoms to get tested. Given the nature of the virus I suspect many are carrying it without symptoms but I too am surprised there hasn’t been more word about crews. Then again considering what airports and airplanes look like right now they might be some of the safer publicly accessible places at the moment.

look, under most circumstances I absolutely agree...but right now is not the time to grieve this....things are way worse at big D right now than anyone was aware of, which means bad things for us....9E is excess baggage for Delta, and dropping us could lighten up their load...how nobody thinks this very possible is beyond me....next few days and weeks will be unfolding a lot of truths ....just saying be prepared....concessions or not things are looking quite bleak .....choose your battles..this one is the least of my worries...with mouths to feed and all that goes with it, I have other worries on my mind....

The federal government is granting the airlines all the money they need to pay employees for the next 6 months on the condition they don’t furlough. Why are we panicking, rushing to give everything up to “save” the company. We are not going to fix air travel demand by taking less pay. It would be better to wait 6 months til the nightmare is over, and then decide what is appropriate- and we have the government helping us do that.

How much did Delta management spend on stock buybacks? How is that LATAM investment doing? Delta management helped to put us in the situation we are in now.

Why should we give a single concession when they will just furlough in October anyways?

Im not saying to “give in” or take less money..at all...but there are very valid concerns about the government money as well...that doesn’t mean Delta can’t shut down 9E as a business decision, we are not Delta employees....perhaps I don’t know as much about the government stimulus for the airlines, correct me if I’m wrong where 9E stands with this...but
my understanding is Delta could easily shed 9E to try and survive this, sounds like they are in worse shape than they appeared to be financially....and why did we mysteriously and suddenly take a 70% reduction when everyone says we are the cheapest to operate?? Perhaps the wind-down has started ....food for thought...have a plan....been down this road before, expect the unexpected or get caught with your pants down. Good luck to all.

I actually do see your point and I’m well aware of everything you said....honestly who the frig knows...I’ve lost faith in society and people ...trust is hard to come by these days...I’ve had my days in the sandbox and used to
be full of **** and vinegar .....but watching all
this unfold with skeletons falling out of Delta’s closet is disheartening....good luck is all i can Say for all of
us.

Delta would have to start a new regional from scratch if they suddenly dumped that much feed, I don't see that happening in the short term. I would expect the status quo for at least 5 months. The projections from the hospitality industry, put even the future of the legacies in doubt if we don't get a substantial recovery this year. It's completely out of our control.
