It ties up almost all the captain seats in DTW and MSP as well so that hurts recruiting efforts. That would certainly help too, but that still doesn't allow for movement at the top. At this point I am not sure anything will help with that. Most of those guys wouldn't leave even with a flow.

Working during the lost decade was pretty demoralizing. If you are just getting in at Endeavor now, it's easy to put together a volunteer, mentor, no sick calls, etc, work resume, for a quick few years to move on. However, for many at the top, there were years where you couldn't even apply anywhere, so you got lax, and that's where the motivation Delta is looking for, hurts the most.

This whole career has been a disaster, that's why I took steps to remove myself from it.
