Can anyone tell me which roller bags fit best in the airplane? The handout I received said to get either 22'' or 26'' as long as it was not the "expandable bag". I would like to get a Luggage Works 26'' but I just want to make sure it will fit in the overhead.
Also, can anyone recommend which flight case works the best? I found several listing 8.5 - 9.0'' wide but the handout talks about ones with a pocket on the side have touble fitting. And almost all of them have a pocket on the side. Any info would be appreciated.

Most advice I have read online, or from pilots I have talked to in person, says 22". That being said, a LW 22" is 14X9", and the 26" is 14X8".
The OH bins allow for 52.5X14X9" bags. YMMV
Here's a thread that mentions traveling with 26" bags, and some brands. May help you decide: http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/ha...ks-vs-pnt.html

For flight case, the Luggageworks vinyl fits perfectly, even with the side pockets. I can fit three 2-inch binders, headset, CFM, and a 1 inch trip binder in perfectly. According to someone at a few store, Luggageworks are phasing the vinyl one out soon. It's far cheaper than the leather ones.

I wouldn't recommend the 26 if you are a commuter. As a commuter, most of the time you will be last to board and the 26 doesn't fit in wheels or handles first, so you'll be checking that bag and it's a pain. With the 22 inch bag even if the bins are very full, other folks belongings can sometimes be shifted slightly so that a space opens up wide enough for the 22 to fit in wheels are handles first.
If you need more space get a small duffle

22 -700's from gojet and a TBD number (up to 30) E-170/175 from shuttle. Basically, the airframes that DL owns that are available to be flown by another carrier due to performance and contractual aspects. Gojet performance is horrible for DL and shuttle is going to lose the -170/175's for DL to rid themselves of the DL 50 seat contract.
End state of 81 -900's (all here), 56 -200's (at 43 I think currently), plus the above starting with an EMB program Q3/4 2016 and the -700's as the start of 2017. Bloch award ends June 16, 2016 so there is no red tape on the endeavor side for different aircraft types.
At least that's what I have put together through various channels of sources. Time will tell. One thing is for sure, if it's being posted on a message board, enough folks already know to the point where sources aren't exposed.
It's unfortunate that planes are doing the shuffle, but it comes down to performance, control, cost, and what DL wants as an end result.
