It'll be interesting to see what the company comes out with for the rest of us. iPads are not this huge amazing breakthrough of a benefit that some would make it out to be. All that does is catch us up to where everyone else was years ago.

At least new hires are now being paid a fair wage to start. Time to catch the rest of us up.
AWAC has had EFBs since spring 2012 for company manuals and totally paperless since June of this year...has not had an appreciable impact on recruiting...especially since I am strongly considering a lateral move and if it's to a non-efb airline that has really strong pay and movement...I'll deal with the paper.

Anything less is just a pinky swear and bait to get people who are too naive to realize that these flows exist and then disappear without warning.

You are far better off working at a carrier with good work rules, good pay, and a base you want to be in and interview with the same airlines that are making people wait to flow or any other you are interested in than to listen to the guy saying everything will be great someday while you sit on your hands. If the airline you are flowing to wanted you to work there, they would have just hired you. They want you to work for their regional and the first opportunity to pull a flow that arises, it will disappear. You are much better earning money and having good QOL.
Why not have good work rules, good pay and a flow.

How long is differences training? Is there a test at the end of ground school and if so is it open or closed book?

Anyone care to explain this 10K training bonus talk, and how it affects the 23K retention? I read a few posts but see no positive answer regarding it. I am a december class hire. Thanks

I imagine, and hope, that this guy is on the bullseye regarding my previous question.

All it means is that instead of getting a $3K trng completion bonus you will get $10K at completion. So $30K in total for year-1 bonuses vice $23K.

Takes about a month from start to end of OE. 5 days in class, 2-3 procedures trainer, 5 sims, 25oe. Closed book differences test on day 3 at noon, Closed book CA leadership etc on day 5. Neither are difficult.

Maybe after 15 years the pay scale goes down? How else do you get these guys out of here. They have zero motivation to leave.
