I thought you bid to fly either the -900 or the -200?
What's the need for differences training?

If you're transitioning from one fleet to another. Many of the junior folks in class who get the -200 switch to -900 and some people who want better schedules switch from the -900 to the -200.

Before someone reems you, differences if you decide to swap to the other aircraft during a vacancy later down the road after initial training.

That is correct, there is no differences unless you bid from one aircraft to the other. You are only trained on either the 200 or 900 not both.

Not true. Class sizes has been down. 16+2 return to works in class that started yesterday. Overall we're about 40/month for the last couple months, but it looks like that is decreasing further hence the 18 this last class. (down from 60/month (30/class)) prior to the American/PSA/piedmont/envoy flow announcement). Some new hires are even leaving in their first couple years of employment for psa/piedmont/envoy to american flow. I can say I blame them. This company has really become a great place to work, but we dont have any kind of flow. I know if United was to start a flow at another regional we'd probably have half the company bail.

Funny you say that. I can hold a decent line on the 900 but on the 200 I'm still on reserve.

Yeah it almost seems like it varies month to month and base to base right now. All of us new guys are being poured into NY, then whenever something opens up in DTW, MSP it becomes a game of musical chairs. Then you have the people that hold LGA but want JFK and vice-versa. Seems like a constant state of flux right now.

Thx for the clarification re: transition.

Any former YV pilots who moved to Endeavor on here?

Mine was AQP. For an upgrade it is what I wrote, maybe I misread his question. I thought it was upgrade differences.

Some people start on -200 and move to -900 or vice versa.
