We have to understand something...Endeavor will never have a flow with Delta. I wish they did, but it will never happen.

If you told someone 2 years ago that starting FO pay would be $60K you would have been laughed out of the place. The retirements are just starting. New hires want pay and career progression, while you're right that delta may not want a flow now I think it's more about controlling the pilot group. Why not have a flow, and if a guy/gal is a complete buffoon then they get fired or sent back to 9E while
on proobation.

Well might be a middle ground between you two, Delta will not do a flow until they want it. Endeavor negotiators can't negotiate a flow as a starting point, Delta has to see the value.

I think itll be at least another ceo before they see value ina flow.

I agree, but it seems that going forward the value would be reliable 76 seat feed as other regionals have trouble staffing. When the mothership starts canceling flights then it will become a priority.

Correction, Delta will not do a flow until they have to.

If a flow happens, what would happen to the guys who got the "double no" from Delta? Flow everyone but bypass those guys? If that's the case, they would have been better off not doing the SSP.

This is where I duck, but those pilots with the double no at somepoint will get hired somewhere (spirit, jetblue, walmartAir, whatever) so delta is saying that in a complete refresh of their seniority list they can't trust a guy with 20yrs experience as a lifelong fo or a junior captain that would be "hired" years from now? That's a fairly stupid statement.

It's unpopular to say in a Delta jumpseat, but every pilot working here or any regional today will have an opportunity to interview and be hired somewhere else. Eh. That's just the math.

Furthermore, it's likely 5 or 8 years from now Delta may call you up and see if United is a good fit, "maybe ya'oughta come down ta Atlanta and see what we're 'bout."

I can see this happening. The union will have to be open to that possibility one day to keep the new hires coming.

That would definitely be a case of "Failure to Represent " against ALPA. But ALPA has a long history of failure to the regionals not just Endeavor. I have said it before that regionals were never meant to be like this. ALPA and mainline pilots have allowed regionals to grow at region pilots expense. Now anytime a regional pilot complaines you will get some mainline guy come on and say you should be happy greatful because we allowed you more job's. You regional pilots just haven't been vetted not the same interview process so are less deserving of equal treatment.

I still say why and cannot except their reasoning to not allow equality in the same reason. You can bet that the NWA pilots would have definitely been screwed had there not been a ALPA merger policy already in place. Thats what has been needed all along at ALPA with regionals and mainline. I'm sure it will not happen but it is needed. Waiting around for mainline pilots or ALPA to help improve isn't working also.
