I agree, but it seems that going forward the value would be reliable 76 seat feed as other regionals have trouble staffing. When the mothership starts canceling flights then it will become a priority.

Correction, Delta will not do a flow until they have to.

If you told someone 2 years ago that starting FO pay would be $60K you would have been laughed out of the place. The retirements are just starting. New hires want pay and career progression, while you're right that delta may not want a flow now I think it's more about controlling the pilot group. Why not have a flow, and if a guy/gal is a complete buffoon then they get fired or sent back to 9E while
on proobation.

It's unpopular to say in a Delta jumpseat, but every pilot working here or any regional today will have an opportunity to interview and be hired somewhere else. Eh. That's just the math.
Furthermore, it's likely 5 or 8 years from now Delta may call you up and see if United is a good fit, "maybe ya'oughta come down ta Atlanta and see what we're 'bout."

I can see this happening. The union will have to be open to that possibility one day to keep the new hires coming.

I still say why and cannot except their reasoning to not allow equality in the same reason. You can bet that the NWA pilots would have definitely been screwed had there not been a ALPA merger policy already in place. Thats what has been needed all along at ALPA with regionals and mainline. I'm sure it will not happen but it is needed. Waiting around for mainline pilots or ALPA to help improve isn't working also.

So yes they lost as well,so saying that only the sr guys are the only ones that haven't been made whole is entirely wrong!

I can only argue making whole, I cant contrive of every scenerio from a made up criteria. We should talk about those proud and lucky colgan guys who didnt have a damn airplane to their name but suddenly weren't a captain for 14-04 and still ***** because they felt like they should have been treated like a captain and gone with other captains on the ssp. They lost a ton of delta money and seniority. Do our senior guys need to pay for that too?
The company went through bankruptcy. The pilots took concessions and lost a ton of airplanes. Those concessions were concrete, senior guys took the biggest hit. They arent making jcba rates, but everyone else is making jcba or better rates with the retention. Its been years, we arent even saying lets try to get the lost money back since bk. There is a proposal saying lets make these guys paid at jcba rates going forward. Seems reasonable.

So your argument is that everyone (including pilots who have made no bsnkruptcy sacrifices) should get an equal pay raise because the "middle group of guys" (how many meet your arbitrary criteria btw, and of those guys how many are here?) didn't get to upgrade because of a bankruptcy?
