Yet Delta is now having 80 hour IOE's. It is becoming a safety issue at Delta now with the quick upgrade. The low time hires can now be captain with a low time FO. This will be interesting. It's going to catch up to Delta.

Those are few and far between. The FAA doesn't allow green on green so maybe you should further define your definition of low time.

Delta has so much data on this kind of stuff that they will see it before it becomes a problem or if at all.

The OE time of 75 hours is an across the board threat mitigation from flight ops management for anyone making captain with less than a year at the airline. They want to make sure the quick upgrade has the appropriate mentoring before being released into the wild regardless of the background of whoever it may be.

It's not due to poor performance of others on OE.
