There are no longer 145s in MIA. If you get a 145 as a new hire you will likely be stuck on it until you can make captain and move over to the 175. The only way for this to change is if the 145s get pulled out of the base you are in, ORD in this example. But this is something not likely to happen any time soon.
This was explained in the original response to your question, but you may have missed it with the other information.
MIA has been awarded in several new hire and/or recall classes, so holding the base could happen quickly, if you get 175. Holding a line is going to take much longer. No one can say with any certainty how quickly you could hold a line anywhere as the last 18 months have completely destroyed any data points. It could be four months or two years to be off reserve.

I missed the fact that Miami is 175 only.
Thank you for clearing that up for me.

At some point before the pandemic, they were SORT OF running a class every week. They would start every two weeks with indoc and then break down with one group continuing and one group delaying a week. The sim space, training devices and instructors determine throughput. My understanding is at least one of the 145 sims ENY uses is being relocated, so using a different facility, which is something they don’t like to do. More $. But there is no reason to do an indoc class every week. One instructor can do one student or 40 and if they were doing indoc every week for 20 students instead of every two weeks for 40, that’s a class room and instructor for a week that can be used for other training.
Now, that being said, they can do what they want. There are some reasons they might choose to do different start dates, although a phased onboarding where you get a seniority number already does that.

Didn’t get details other than saw that at least one was down so it could be moved and they were using FSI ATL. Reasonably certain that could limit at least short term numbers on the 145, but then again if they don’t have instructors, that’s not the limiting factor.

It's temporary. Both 145 sims at GSW are being relocated to another facility in close proximity to GSW. That's all I can say about the location as of now. Renting sim time at other locations in the interim while the move is underway.
