That used to help our metrics now we just waste fuel.

What do you want them to say?

Mon "We don't have a deal"
Tues "We don't have a deal"
Wed "We don't have a deal"

Give them a month or two.

I don't mind the frequency of the communication, but would prefer if it had more substance. Instead of "we don't have a deal, discussions are ongoing," it could be, "we don't have a deal, company is offering a $0.009/hr increase to year 10 FO pay and has asked us to concede commuter hotels and sign an LOA forcing pilots to wear the hat all the time (even in the shower), and to refer to members of management as "milord" when pax are present"

I can understand why it isn't necessarily strategic and tactical to release all this information all the time though.

I agree. Whether people buy into it or not, I've been told by more than one rep that the online discussions of negotiations/what people are willing to accept and or trade for certain pay raise amounts does not go unnoticed by the company. If the union were to give us, for example, four detailed updates over the course of a eight week negotiation with the company, there's too much opportunity for the company to gain more bargaining power based on what they really know part of the pilot group is willing to accept.

How much of that could really be true is still a bit of a mystery to me, but I hate the idea that the company would have any more advantage than they deserve during negotiations.

I've got my own I've got my own assumption in mind as far as what the actual pay rate increase will be, but I'm not going to bother posting it here. Not like it holds any weight, I just don't want to be a hypocrite

If you pick up Critical coverage OT and no show the deadhead, do you still get paid the 200%?

Default CA Award pay

Hey all,

Anyone know how many pay checks it takes your captain pay rate to show up after the final award?

My mid month paycheck was at the FO rate but I received an extra adjustment paycheck to cover the difference in pay for the days after the award when I was on CA pay. The end of the month paycheck was all CA pay.
