I am or I guess was a new hire in one of the upcoming classes. I did not find out about the hiring freeze from Envoy, but from you guys/gals on APC and my friends in this airline. I wish they would come out with an email or phone call telling us what the heck is going on for all of us. So far, us new hires are still left in the dark and it has been nothing but crickets.

He said upcoming class. All future classes have been cancelled. No idea if they’re rescinding offers for when we do start hiring again, but that could be years and I imagine the answer is yes. They may not have a plan themselves yet, which may be why the people haven’t been told.

The old flow back agreement expired. They want to flow back if needed but freaked out in the AA thread when it was brought to their attention it’s no longer in our contract. For the Envoy union officers out there: if the flow backs happen WITHOUT a pilot group vote this time around expect a pretty big uproar.

^Truth. Not wanting to union bash nor threatening anyone. I just don’t think the new group is gonna go quietly into the night if that were to come into fruition now that the PP’s are gone. #GWOTTrapLordz

IF that happens, we need to be in AA’s seniority number, bare in mind junior guys would potentially be furloughed.

Well now that no one is flowing that can’t be used as a bargaining chip and the argument of “the guys before us got to flow back..” ain’t gonna work. Our group would need to be smart and squeeze a little more blood out of that stone. No ones gonna hang around for the next 5-7 years on a stagnant list with current QOL just to be pushed into a furlough so some one with the same type as 65% of our pilot group can make alimony, Porsche payments, and Brazilian girlfriend bribes. That’s all I’m saying.

Every word of that is correct. Unfortunately, I expect our union to cave to an agreement without a vote for some flow assurances. Just learning from experience.
