With the recent reports I’ve seen on national news, for everyone’s safety let’s hope not.
Last regional who was actually sanctioned for safety violations by the FAA was Skywest. So far we are good. |
Wonder why AA no longer wants to sign our checks. Sale coming soon?

Skywest acquires envoy much like express jet but it’s different this time.

Is it true that another member of the MEC is leaving and off to Atlas?

How do you become a manager in CS without knowing the first thing about the contract? Puzzling. You'd think over the years of shrieking unprofessionally at pilots who ask for an escalation about minutiae she'd pick something up.

Dera, are you also gonna keep commenting on apc after being gone, just like TC on fb pages? |

You know it's a sinking ship, when people leaving to places like Atlas. What about the flow though lol?
once their contract is settled you won’t be able to get in there. It will become much much more competitive. Smart move on both their parts. |

Nothing against Atlas at all. It’s just surprising to see so many people give up on flow and a cemented slot at a legacy. They may know more about the future of American then we do.

I have several friends at Atlas, one has been there over 20 years. Since I have actual first hand accounts of QOL and the lifestyle of that company, I will never go. They’ve been working on this new contract for years, and rightfully so. For some that may be better than Envoy, for me day 4 is enough and I’m going home. I will quit flying before I have to be away from my family for 17+ days, doing 40 hour layovers where you can’t even leave the hotel property...
when I say you couldn’t pay me enough, I seriously mean it. But for those who can do it/want it, go for it. More power to you |

But even in the mist of a contract battle, the work environment here at 5Y is no where near hostile like there were at my WO from the sounds of it Envoy also (constant battle with scheduling, fly it and grieve it none sense). One the contract gets settled and it will. It might be even better. If not, Atlas will continue to still be a training academy for UPS and FedEx. |

Horses for courses, as they say in the old blighty. I much prefer longer stretches of work, followed by more time off. Personal preference, neither is better or worse.
If you have to commute, longer stretches make it more worthwhile. |

well from what I hear, 17-20 days on and about a week off. And occasionally 60 days on in an out base across the world where you only have 1 30-hour period per week off
it would be amazing to fly a 7-4 around the world, I get that. But the schedule is something myself or my family can’t do. The place is like all others, pros and cons. |
