Yet so far this year, according to the company data, we are now at 70% of all AA new hires coming from Envoy. An even higher percentage if you add in the few from PSA & PDT.
The 140's that are parked are all being kept in flyable condition and could be pulled for line flying today if needed.
The PDT contract is for E145 type between 37 & 50 seats, IIRC.

Again, 1/3 of those pilots were from a different flow mechanism and were required to flow by arbitration. Besides AA wasn't even hiring off the street during then (virtually all of 2013) and couldn't realistically do that until all the Letter 3 flows were over to AA.
In related news, now it seems Envoy pilots are being required to accept slots on the US Airways side and aren't happy about that. In the past, they complained they were being stiffed out of them and now they don't want them when offered.
Coo-Coo for Cocoa Puffs.

itll be a great day when NY is no longer an LEC so R. I. is done bullS'ing everyone with all the great things coming, 16 years to flow, 14 years barely gets you off reserve as a captain, long sit for new hires on reserve and AA won't touch any Envoy pilots unless you are a flow, intern, or fleet managers kid. Ray needs to get over himself
You want to blame the flow contract for 14 years of stagnation?
Now who's not being honest?
You can't flow when there's no hiring.
9-11 screwed a bunch of people over with a lost decade at the regionals.
Their data shows that 70% of all AA hiring this year has come from Envoy flows. Add in the ones from PSA & PDT and it's probably closer to 75% from the wholly owned regionals.
So, all the RAH, Mesa, CPZ, Gojets and eveybody other regional pilot can fight with the squadron buddies, family members, and interns for the remaining 25% being hired.
How long before Delta does something similar? Then they can all fight for a gig with United.

Bottom line: Envoy pilots have filled 70% of the new hire classes at AA this year. Yes they are '99 hires. BY the end of the year, it will be 2001 hires. We didn't hire from 2001 to almost 2004, so guess what? Next year will be 11 year flow. Once we get to 2008 hires, we didn't hire from 2008 to 2010. The only big group left after that is the 2011 guys, at 325. Very easily, the flow will work fine, if not even faster.
If you are looking for a place to move forward from, envoy seems to be a good choice. Don't listen to tools who have no interest in anything but seeing envoy fail, like Eaglefattie and FirstTool; Neither of these individuals works for envoy. One is definitely an industry rookie(LastClass), likely broadcasting from moms basement while he awaits IOE.

Such logic. I'm sure FirstMoron will be in here momentarily to scream how it is only 16 year guys going right now. I can smell his PSA stench from here.

Until management fixes the QOL here, it's still hard to recommend someone to come here. 30-40% of our pilots on reserve is simply unacceptable.
But cujo is right in regards to the flow being valuable. If your ultimate goal is to work at one of the big 3, then I would come here. If it's not and all you want is a quick upgrade and instant gratification, then don't.

When someone says that the flow is 16 years in an attempt to project that 16 years is what it would be for someone hired today, it shows an extreme lack of common sense. Same for upgrade and same for reserve.
To answer your question, current upgrade is about 8 years, reserve probably about 2-3 (don't quote, just an educated guess) and flow 16. If you want to use these numbers to project a new-hires career expectations, then be my guest

Let me ask you this....since you want "to go there":
How long does a new hire at PSA need to wait before INTERVIEWING (NOT flowing) at AA? For those unaware...PSA gets only 4 interviews per month. At 1200 or so pilots, how long is that? Basic math here. If that math is too advanced for you I'll give you the answer:
25 YEARS. TWENTY FIVE YEARS before even having to interview for the job.
That is a hard number and not influenced by anything else. Envoy has a flow. First and foremost. Nobody at Envoy has to interview for AA.
Second, Envoy gets 50% of each AA class metered to 20 and 30 starting in November.
Third: AA is only hiring 6 street hires a month for the rest of the year so that they can take 25-27 Envoy flows a month. This is straight from AA and was presented to us by the company President at our recent meeting. That puts Envoy flows WELL ABOVE the required 50%.
Spin Envoy's flow any which way you like. It doesn't matter. In 5 years Everybody at Envoy will be at AA or about to go over...meanwhile all of you at PSA will be enjoying your precious CRJs.

I just typed it out right in front of you. Our flow has really only been going for a few years. Currently, 16 year guys are going. 6 years from now, it will be 2015 hires. The math is pretty simple if you look at the flow percentage and also at our seniority list. Here comes yet another PSA sympathetic troll onto an envoy thread.

I had wondered where you went thrustlever. Your never ending desire to make life worse for your former coworkers go unabated. Why don't you just mind your own business. You don't work at envoy. You have zero knowledge of what it's like to work here now.
