A friend of mine at Envoy recently told me 99 hires(16 years longevity) are flowing to AA.
At PSA, it's 2005 hires going to AA right now. It will probably get down to the 2006 hires by years end.

How many times have you been the recipient of puffed up promises only to be dashed against the rocks ?
It seems regardless of how many times, most of you keep going back for more and not only that, become angry when the next round of puffery or the puffers are questioned. Battered wife syndrome, for sure.

Cujo, can you clarify, is it 1999 hires flowing or 2008 hires? Thanks bud.

There was no mainline or legacy hiring for almost a decade after 9-11.
At Envoy, since the flow started back up in 2010 those 1999 DOH guys only waited 5 years to flow. We also have several years were there were no new hires, and a few more years where we hired only a small batch and just a few dozen remain. New hires at Envoy today may expect that if the company's plan continues they'll flow in under 6 years. No interview, just fill out the paperwork and go to class. They already interviewed for AA when Envoy hired them. It's why we still reject a high percentage of applicants. 50% of all new hires come from Envoy. Our guys have already been hired at AA, and are essentially just flying here while awaiting their class date in less than six years.
It's the best flow in the industry; and since yesterday we also now have the best commuter and hotels policy in the industry.

PSA flows 48 a year. Somebody hired now may expect to INTERVIEW in 20 years. That is from your own people at a recent AA Town Hall meeting.

No, I said the last of the "824" would be a 2008 hire. That pilot is something like 450-500 numbers away from flowing. BTW, there is a big gap in hire dates at Envoy going from 2001 to 2004. Again, to state with certainty that it will be only 6 years for a not yet hired Envoy pilot to be at AA is ASSUMPTION. I don't think it's responsible to mislead pilots here with assumptive promises.

Envoy is slated to lose 130 airplanes over the next two years. Currently they have around 200ish airplanes. Even with the addition of 40 E175s, that's close to a 50% fleet reduction.

Did I mention that I'm hearing that the rumor about PSA parking some airplanes soon is looking to be an accurate rumor. I recently heard this myself from a very reliable source. It was not specified which fleet, but the outisde rumors were of 200's getting parked, and that would fit with what I was told.
I said recently the music would be slowing down over there. It's looking like it's going to happen even sooner than I thought. I'd expect an announcement within a few weeks or so.

My friend at Envoy is a 2011 hire, he is barely holding a line and might go back on reserve. He's been on reserve most of his time at Envoy and is far away from upgrade is he might go back on reserve as an FO.

ever heard the old saying to never count hulls until they're on your ramp? An announcement of plane transfers made in the middle of hostile negotiations is called positioning. You CAN expect some revised transfer numbers and for them to be over a much longer time period to be public soon.
Somebody recently posted these numbers, and I believe they are correct
1999- 217 (remaining after the latest transferred class)
2000- 165
2001- 88
2002- 0
2003- 0
2004- 120
2005- 65
2006- 117
That's 772 pilots to go from 1999 to 2007. At 360 a year it's just over 2 years to get to 2007 hires. I'm working on getting the 2007 - 2015 by year breakdown numbers. But since we know we only have 2150 total, and 300 that won't flow. Take the 772 out of the remainder then we are left with 1,078 will flow. At 300 a year (averaged) it's just over 3 years for them to flow. Every pilot on our property should flow in under six years.
It's going to be a good time to be an Envoy Pilot.
