The pay may be better at ENY, and there may be a flow, but if I can't get 1,000 in 11-18 months, there may be other places willing to pay me less to fly me more.
If you don't want to stay or think the grass is greener elsewhere, don't accept the signing bonus. Keep your options open so you can bail out whenever you want. If you get hired and make it to the line you'll have a free type certificate in your pocket and some 121 time which will make you marketable to any other regional you want to go to if Envoy isn't working for you.

What. When.?

Another reason to not go in that crew room. Full of company suckups.

A FA misheard a conversation.... Which she then thought there was a pilot with a gun, in the CP office. So she called 911.... And all he|| broke loose. False alarm.

FA is a moron.

No, ENY isn't that bad, hope you don't think I was implying that it is. In fact, from all my reading here, ALL regionals suck. It's a tough, low-paying life, to be sure. One would think with the requirement for ATP now in place, pay would have risen commensurate with the required training/time one must put in to get there.

I like the concept of the flow, but not sure I believe the 2.5/6 numbers being tossed around by recruiters. One told me he was a 9-year employee (not sure if he is FO or CA), and he said he IS going to AA soon, but didn't give me a date. So it might be in a month or a year for all I know.

ENY is still one of my top choices, unfortunately a CRJ in ORD is not my favorite choice.

ENY isn't that bad, there have been a lot of us here and stuck for way too long and our patience is starting to wear. Is it gonna get better? Probably. Just hard to get most of us inside to believe the numbers being thrown out there based on what we have already been through.

The next ENY Flow Through pilot to start at AA was hired in July 1999. Between that guy and a January 2006 hire is ~550 seniority numbers. Rough math says it'll be ~18 mths.

So 30 upgrades a month from now until then to keep a balance of captains, especially since envoy has quit shrinking and new planes are on property. Where are the vacancies?
