Has anyone else asked why for the delay codes they don't have one for pilot preflight duties? We get called out on doing what we are supposed to do and then get psychologically manipulated into doing what we are not supposed to do. To cut corners, to get the flight out on-time.

Morale is low. Corporate morals are abusive in nature. It's been getting worse and nothing is being done. Not even our union will stand up to this.
Nothing will change with DUI Douggie at the helm. I feel bad for all my buddies still at Envoy who are waiting out in hopes of the flow.

Also want to add that I completely disagree with it being a night and day difference between AA and Envoy work environments. Every captain I knew who flowed said yes the training is better, less stressful but the AAG bs still runs rancid. Ain't much better over there.

Every Captain you knew who flowed? You must've known quite a few really bitter captains, because nearly every pilot who's flowed over can tell you that the differnce between the two companies, in terms of how we are treated on a daily basis by Crew Scheduling, Crew Tracking, and the Chief Pilot's offices is night and day different than it was on the Eagle side. Conversations with Crew Scheduling are pleasant and not confrontational. If you call out fatigued or sick, you don't get any attitude over the phone, you simply get an "OK". When something is needed from the Chief pilot's office, the staff is pleasant, and the Chief's themselves are even more so. The comparisons can go on and on.

Yes, there have been a few guys that have come over and have carried their chip on their shoulder right into the AA cockpits, and the captains who have had the displeasure of being paired with them have told me it makes for a miserable trip. But those guys are the exception, not the rule.

It's MUCH better on the AA side.

You can expect to work for Envoy for about 6 years before transitioning over to American Airlines. This is a no interview, no medical flow. Essentially, you are transferring from one department to another.

Disregard any negativity you see here about Envoy. It's from disgruntled ex employees and others who don't even work here and are likely working at a regional with no flow and no future. Envoy has a very bright future and the lifestyle here is similar to one that you would transition into at AA.
Still flowing 360 envoy pilots this year? We're hiring large numbers? Positioned to be the premiere regional carrier in the US? Things are looking up at envoy? Looking at 175 options? A bright future and a lifestyle similar to AA? You're credibility stinks and you do more harm than good with your pie in the sky rose colored glasses look at our airline.

I got hired into a new airplane, again could choose whatever I wanted and you will hear the anger on here as I and other new hires didnt choose the airplane with terrible QOL. There is a flow, theres also zero pilots, there probably stands a reason AAG wants a flow for the future regardless what it is today or what it was for the Envoy pilots hired 3-7 years ago when there was an abundance of pilots.

Any new hire who hears the anger on here just remember they want you to have a harder, longer, tougher road than they had. The fact the regional industry is in the gutter and you can get whatever you want as a new regional pilot now infuriates them. Come to Envoy or go to another regional, and get the most you can out of it you can.
Keep patting yourself on the back and telling yourself what bullies those Eagle guys are. Although there are a few with that attitude, the majority of pilots here want a better QOL for everyone.

I live less than an hour from DFW but I have to commute to ORD rsv to go to work, as of now, my only way to get back to DFW is to upgrade. What's wrong with being pi$$ed off that a new guy gets to have a better QOL than I do right now? I'm not pi$$ed at the new hire, maybe a little jealous, I'm pi$$ed at the company.

Speaking for myself, it does pi$$ me off (and makes me laugh) when I hear about new hires walking out of class because they didn't get the 175. People don't get it, it's not the equipment, it's the seniority number that matters. Yes, you can be logging that precious "underwing jet time" (whatever the Hell that is lol), and then you can be displaced to another airplane or even another base. Ask me how I know.

As far as the "shiny jet" thing, I agree with you. We are pilots, what's wrong with wanting to fly a new plane. I want to fly as many planes as I can. Am I a lesser driver for wanting a new car? It's the new plane or I'm outta here that I don't get.

be ****ed off at ALPA Envoy MEC, this inability was a gift brought to you from tony and scum. Never was this the way until ALP gave it away, oh and got nothing inreturn.

Does anyone know the hour mins for upgrade? 1,000 hrs with the company or something along those lines? I searched through the contract and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

3,000 hours total time (company rule) and 1,000 Part 121 SIC (FAA rule)
