Don't forget the hostile work environment.

Yep. I find it stooping to new levels.

I mean these guys that have gotten fired (confirmed) recently, I find it very peculiar that the got canned literally on the door step of flowing through to AA. I think that is below the belt. "Okay, we know this guy is abusing the system, let's wait and use him when we need him then make it inconvenient for him to our advantage." That's just low. Yeah, I know the employee is in the wrong. But two wrongs don't make it right.

Yeah, but then they get more bang for their buck. The point of firings like these is to make an example of a few troublemakers to keep everyone else in line (who cares that the vast majority of us are already there).

Once you've decided your employees' lives don't matter to you, you might as well take that to its logical end in everything you do.

Exactly. We are all just numbers. No humans. Just liability.

We've tried for a quasi base(satellite) there but still no deal. They want us to be a two domicile carrier and "focus on what we do best" with those bases. It would take a drastic shift in their plans for us to do more than these two bases.
A big shift in management just happened. Kirby got fired, will that give us back a NYC base doubtful. But you never know.

Yeah, I was going to say.."drastic shift" = Kirby getting fired. Anything is possible now. It's obvious AA wasn't happy with the direction he was leading them.

I think United poached him, or perhaps gave him an offer he couldn't refuse. He wasn't moving up any higher at AAG with Doug still here. Might as well see what the grass looks like on the other side of the hill.

I've been reading on the new website and about the cadet program. Correct me if I'm wrong...but I'll get $5,000 in tuition reimbursement and $10,000 in sign on bonus instead of $15,000 right up front right?
