Yes, it is. I'd say you're above the average. The 175 pipeline is backed up. It is currently not being offered. Clearly that will change, but we don't know when; the recruiters might.

Looking at envoy but would really like the DFW base; I don't care about whether it's the 175 or the 145. How long would it take to get DFW? My trajectory is as a Jan new hire.

I'm military so all of my weather minimums are different from civilian operators. I assume that all weather related questions during an interview will be part 121 correct? Or they will be asking 91.175?

Might be an obvious answer for some, but again in the MIL is all different. I want to make sure I study the right information.

It's been a while for me, but they ask you to read the minimums for an airport or approach right off the approach plate. I don't know if they're asking 123, 600/2, 800/2 type stuff.

You should be able to get dfw within a few months if not right away. The available spots vary from class to class. Sometimes dfw, sometimes ord.

It also depends what slots they have available for your class. When I started my entire class was given DFW 145, so age made no difference. If there is a choice I'd guess (wild guess) that you'd be towards the top of the seniority of your class.

Is there a contract in exchange for the bonus?

What are the chances to get ORD CRJ?

Are commuting hotels limited to 4 per month. Thank you for any answers ahead of time.

I think it's a two year commitment if you accept the bonus money. The new pay rate doesn't require any commitment. I'm not completely sure though

ORD is pretty much guaranteed since the E145 and CRJ are both based there. The CRJ has been available to most recent classes but it's hard to predict how many available slots per class.

Commuter hotels are limited to 4. If you lose a scheduled overnight during a sequence and need a company hotel it doesn't count towards your allotment. Neither does getting a hotel for critical coverage OT pickups before or after a sequence.

If you get the 175 it would be right out of the gate. The E145 for current guys has been around 6-12 months for DFW. It could be less if the current movement comes to fruition. A lot of current and near term upgrades are coming from DFW E145 FO seats and will likely be back filled which would reduce the time it takes to get a transfer if you're not awarded it at the start of training

Most people want DFW 175&145... ORD most want E145.

So chances are great if you wany CRJ-700 in ORD.

Staffing is behind @ ORD on the E145 & CRJ-700 is what i'm told, so majority of Sept classes going to ORD.

I've hear that some will skip class dates in Sept to hold out for E175 DFW... what ever floats their boat man. Career suicide if you ask me. Just the way this industry works. 1 month is worth 30-40 people ahead of you in upgrades, maybe 50-60 per month due to recent announcement....

1 month as a Capt in Majors is worth $15K+ per month. Is passing up class dates for 1-2 months just to get the E145 worth 80-100 ahead of you in flows and mainline captain upgrade? Furlough POTENTIAL? Is the E175 worth $15K+ per month / $30K+ (two months pay) in future earning potential?

Seniority.

E175 looks nice, but get your seniority# LOCKED asap. Race to the top at this point. Or bottom if the economy /industry tanks, Seniority makes the difference.

Those who make poor choices will have to live with it for the rest of their careers in lost income potential, mainline upgrade, and long term QOL.
