Until they say us regional pilots an entitled generation, and sell out to pay raises, to make up for the the “lost decade” & because regional pilots are suppose to pay their dues. I wish I was joking. Look at the recent LOAs for flow grievance settlement, even Rsv FOs flying more (granted that last until FEB19) still a give away, for gains. Completely different (flow vs scope giveaways), but the psychological mindset is similar (give-away for company needs for a increase in flow) reasoning is the same. X has it good, Y deserves more. X needs to pay its dues, Y deserves more on the backs of X, because that’s what happened to Y.
Past stance is not an indication of future actions. Money can, will, could change Union leadership and members mindset last minute, it has in the past and could in the future.
ALPA is far far far from perfect, and APA needs lots of eye balls when it comes to Scope is my main point. Eagle pilots in the “Scope Committee” means nothing.
Watch the actions, not words or which regional committee members came from.

Pay Question
Today I had 3 legs of overtime on my schedule followed by 5 legs tomorrow. After delays, scheduling took away 4 of the legs (1 from today and 3 from tomorrow). When it’s all said and done, will I be paid for all of the legs that I originally picked up? Or do I lose pay because scheduling took them off my schedule?

Take a look at the contract. The answer to your question is there.
Just make sure you make yourself available for another trip. If they have nothing for you, then you should get paid the OT dropped by scheduling.

Greeting The Crew
Ok, so I understand that you should always ask the flight crew if you can catch a ride in the jumpseat if theres no other seats in the back.
What I dont understand is why is it normal etiquette to ask the flight crew for a ride if you already have a seat in the back.
This seems like a weird formality to me.

That’s fact.

Non-Reving on a D2 is different, you do not check in.
Guess the reason it seems weird is what reasoning would the captain have to deny you a seat in the back?
