So, let's see if I read the CBA right. I'm a DFW 175 FO, and have only put in a bid for DFW 175 CA and already meet the legal mins to upgrade. If they don't get enough takers to fill all the CA positions, can they force me to upgrade into another base or equipment?

That would seem to be correct. So make your displacement preference DFW 175 CA followed by ORD 175 CA (so that you could later base transfer back to DFW). After that, choose your poison.
15.G.4 seems to indicate that they will start from the bottom of the seniority list and work upwards if they do actually do this?

From what I'm reading it shouldn't matter what displacement bids you have in. It simply takes the most junior pilot qualified for that position and awards said pilot to he unfulfilled spot.
