Don’t listen to that guy. If you are on an overnight you do not have to call crew scheduling when you get back. You have to check your HI3 and HI6. If you were on standby and you get called for a turn and get back before your standby shift ends then yet you have to call.
Hi6 is only if you had been called out from a RAP.

Well, you don't "have" to call. You would just go back to being on airport standby. If you wanted to go home, the call and ask if someone has been called in to replace me and can I be released. I can't remember when they didn't let me go.

E175 ca
Hello all,
I left eagle in 2009 and took a contract overseas for a while. I’ve been back for over a year flying the e175.
Have over 1000hrs 121, and I’m 38years old and I commute from JAX
If I rejoin Envoy now, what the chances of getting E175 CA?
How long is RSV? How often are you used? And is it realistic to expect the 175 in either seat out of training? Thanks in advance.

175 unlikely, I think now first choice goes to pipeline guys.
But regardless with your 121 experience, on he next upgrade bid you will likely get forced (displaced ) into a captain vacancy, most likely not the 175. Probably get EMB NY CA. You'll likely be bottom guy for a long time commuting to NY on CA reserve. All FOs will jump captain list ahead of you with their company seniority.
Junior commuting reserve is brutal. 4am raps will be difficult to get out of, meaning you'll likely have to commute the day prior for all your sequences.
