I’d appreciate a little info if someone has the time. I’m set for CTP soon, and training shortly thereafter... Some of this info is in previous posts, but might be outdated by now.
1) How long prior to CTP were travel arrangements received?
2) When should I expect logistics info for Indoc?
3) There is a small chance I may be able to get into the E175, but I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the $5k not to. QOL is the prime factor on that, and being able to get to DFW is a big part of the QOL. I’d like to know current reserve times and most junior DOH on the following:
E175 DFW FO
E145 DFW FO
E175 ORD FO
E145 ORD FO
E145 LGA FO
I know E175 ORD is still a new thing, so a best guess on reserve time would be appreciated. I’ll be commuting from Houston, so I figure a line at ORD is probably a bit better than reserve at DFW, and anything at DFW or ORD is probably better for me than a line at LGA, but I’d like to know how long it’s going to suck if I end up at LGA.
Thanks in advance.

Jumpseating
I’ll be doing three days of new hire training Dec 18-20. Then I’m told I won’t be back until Jan 11th to continue.
Between those dates, is it possible to jumpseat and observe flights?
That would be a great use of the off time and get a feel for the operation if it’s possible. (And do some traveling)

Once you get back to class you’ll get your ID and then you can do what you want. You’ll have the opportunity during some of the lulls in training to observe on the flight deck. Be careful of which flights you choose. Don’t pick a flight that is full, and try not to pick ones with multiple commuters listed. You won’t have seniority to hold the jumpseat over another Envoy pilot and could get bumped off. Getting stranded and missing class is not an excuse that will be smiled upon.
You’ll figure it out fairly quickly.
