Thanks for the broad range of inputs. It helps putting things in perspective.
For the record, I'm not military. But I spent the year bush flying in a warzone (Eastern Congo), sleeping under a tent in the jungle, eating **** and getting shot at daily. So yeah, when I read about bad QOL, I take it with a grain of salt. (e.g. 15 vs 18 days off per month... Don't think I even had that many days off in 6 months!).
EDV claims that FO first and second year rates are $50 and $59+ per hour. What's it like at Envoy?
Also, how many hours can a LGA based FO credit on average? I intend to pickup as much OT as I can... Just trying to figure what my paycheck would look like. NYC ain't cheap.

So we're effectively looking at a $12/hour difference the first year and $19/hour the second. That's pretty ridiculous.

Here's the thing puddin', I'm not sure how long you've been looking at all these regionals but endeavor JUST increased to those crazy awesome numbers in early December. Hasn't even been a month yet for the others to respond. Give'em a bit.

Regionals are all about location, location, location. You’re an RTP dude that wants to be in NYC Envoy is the place to be for a few reasons.
- Never commute to a regional.
- NYC seniority is low so a line will come quickly which is important since you’ll be here for a few years getting hours.
- There is a flow, not just a preferential interview. Between your battle buddies, networking, and the penchant for military dudes at airlines you’ll likely get a “preffered” interview anyway before your flow date.
We’ve chewed some of the same dirt so I’m going to give it to you straight: Disregard most of what you read here on QOL, “lies” aka the wording in the contract, and the like. You’re used to much, much worse in all regards. I’ve also yet to actually speak to someone who was “afraid” to upgrade, but lots of Senior FOs that likes bidding reserve, chilling at home, flying occasionally, and getting the lines they want. I’m by no means a company guy, but some of these folks are just candy asses. Interview everywhere just for practice, make the best decision for you.

Just because "it could be worse" doesn't mean we should settle for sub-standard QOL and pay. If that's what one prefers, there are plenty of non-union fly-by-night employers who would gladly hire such an employee.
In my opinion, it's healthier to avoid the Kool Aid.

In my opinion, it's somewhat naive to believe the nonsense that "pay raises are just around the corner." A quick look at history shows that punishment and concessions happen immediately, while improvements are painfully slow, and normally don't happen at all.
