In all fairness my question was how soon could one expect a class date after interviewing. Just my second question was about the fact it doesn't seem people with the experience are given an option. Also, I haven't said how long I have been away from 121 or what I have done in the meantime. I was simply trying to figure out how backlogged training may be. If I have to wait until June or July for a class date then I would target other companies. I am not targeting Envoy for the hopes of becoming an immediate captain. I don't disagree, though, someone who hasn't flown for a while shouldn't upgrade walking in the door, they should have some time on the line to refresh their experience.

So I worked for American Eagle, back in 2007, ended up leaving the industry entirely for a number of years until I got back into flying Part 135 a couple years ago part time.
I've gotten to the point where I want to go back to flying full time, and am interested how things are at the modern Envoy vs. the old Eagle of 2007, as in QoL, Reserve, Upgrades etc.
I live just outside Chicago, so Envoy is an obvious choice for home basing, but having worked at Eagle, I'm also considering Republic, or staying 135/91 if my current employer can offer full time, flying a Lear 35 currently
just over 3000 total, some 121 time, jet time, some jet pic, masters degree.
Any help appreciated as to directional opinions, thoughts, comments, been out of the regional world for 10 years

You will be LGa based initially and will instantly upgrade on the 145. To answer how long it will take to get back to Chicago, I would guess a few months nothing crazy. I wouldn’t be surprised to see you get it even before you finish training assuming it’s offered. So many variables and no body really knows what’s going on right now. If you wanted to be ORD based you could probably hold CRJ captain instantly if you wanted.

Isn’t there a way of finding out the consolidation deadline of reserve FO’s? It used to be shown on the reserve list but it’s been removed. So it’s near impossible to tell if an OT sequence has been illegally awarded (ie the FO has the sequence awarded in advance but isn’t within 30 days of their consolidation deadline).
**edit: disregard answered my own question. CCI shows is but QuickTrade doesn’t

THIS is what frightens me about the whole thing. Not directed towards the poster but the Envoy process as a whole. If someone has been away from the industry for a while there are things that are going to lapse and they should have at least a little time in the right seat to regain those skills and thought processes before jumping straight into a captain seat. Just because it is legal doesn't mean it is safe.

I interviewed end of January and I’m in the March 12th class. Hope this helps!

No. Will be coded as DP in your HI1. Then you will be paid for it. You can be reassigned until noon the day prior. But with the amount of FOs you probably won’t be.
