I’m sure it’s not really as bad as I used in the analogy, but how many of those that left are senior fo’s going to other regionals to immediately upgrade as a new hire instead of waiting for the upgrade at xjt? Statistics can be used to prove anyone’s point on either side of the argument.
And yes, I quoted you personally because you are either a recruiter or a new hire trying to pad your furlough protection.

It doesn’t really matter what his seniority number is. Moving up from 1450 out of 1500 to 1150 out of 1200 is actually moving down. A better comparison would be how much his percentage moved up.

And the most Jr Captain is 970.
Just facts man.
The upgrade time is dropping drastically. I don’t know why so many are rooting against it, but I’m definitely gonna rub it in everyone’s face by the end of the year when it comes to pass.

And to be COMPLETELY factual.....upgrading isn’t the whole story. You’ll be on reserve literally YEARS as a CA, and you’ll fly the right seat a LOT. It took me almost 3 years as a CA to get 1000 TPIC. Because no, you don’t log PIC from the right seat.

Might as well just start logging all your time as jet PIC. Or better yet, go apply for a loan and tell them what your pay rate “will” be. Watch their heads spin. Just like the rest of ours when we see all the gloating and bragging about the most junior CA “award”.
Go to a real airline and see the time that lapses from when a pilot is “awarded” a position and when they advance.

Advance date means virtually nothing. Upgrade awardees will bid for class dates and attend training long before April 2020. Probably as early as September/October. The listed advance date just means that if you do not attend training by that time, through no fault of your own, you'll automatically start receiving your new pay rate.

Upgrade classes started at the beginning of July. I believe there are classes scheduled every other week till the end of the year. You don’t understand the amount of training going on. Retiring a fleet, starting a fleet, transition pilots, new hires and now upgrade classes. This is with losing a ton of instructors and LCP’s.
But I know this doesn’t fit your narrative of vitriol.

And your point is..... every airline runs like this. The guys just awarded upgrade at UA won’t see training for months. When I upgraded at Xjet I waited 6 months to start training.

Or e.) All of the above.
Either way, you do not support the collective view of the pilot group. Which is fine. People are learning the truth and are very skeptical. For the short term they’ll take the signing bonus and a nice new shiny jet.

Yeeaaahh. Either you a) aren’t a line pilot. b) are a recruiter. c) look for new pilots at conventions d) are really good at blowing smoke up the rear ends of unsuspecting potential airline pilots.
Or e.) All of the above.

“People are learning the truth.” I’m pretty sure “people” can tell the truth from the lies on here. The truth is consistent. The fabrications have to be modified daily as they are discredited one at a time.
The truth is, new hires look at this company as a steppingstone. They will accept ExpressJet’s current contract because a) they like the ability to choose their base right out of training, b) they like the fact they can start immediately and not have to wait on a class date c) the upgrade times are becoming competitive and d) the pay is not that bad. A new hire will make over $65K here his or her first year and $50K the second. By year 3-4 they will be gone! The contract is set up for new hires! They will never pass on the things I have listed for a better duty rig or no rolled days off or whatever. 90% of them don’t even know what that means!
You may not like it, but your rhetoric falls largely on deaf ears.
