Hello Aviators

I'm newbie in line joining Expressjet in next few months and was looking to find out what is the First Year Pay for First Officer? Are there any talks to increase that pay? (I asked because SkyWest increased theirs to $30.00). Which is the most junior base for CRJ?

Any inputs will be much appreciated. Thank You!!

The more important question is why are you going to xjt?

Just my preference and want to stay east coast...hence didn't apply with SkyWest, if that's what you were going to ask next.

If you have a CRJ/ERJ type there is a bonus. Welcome aboard!

First year pay still at $23. Unless you have CRJ/ERJ type than I believe there is a 7.5k bonus. Also if you know an XJT guy/gal they get a 1k bonus for referring you...

As of the last bid it looked like the last class of new hires got their base preference by the time they finished training for the CRJ side. (DFW/DTW initially and then ATL on their second bid if they wanted it).

Despite other airlines raising first year pay rates.... we (LXJT/LASA) still have the best benefits, QOL/workrules out of the regionals which is way underrated...

We are in contract negotiations. Word is the company wants to raise first year rates significantly... But... I wouldnt expect a pay increase for first year guys for another 3-6 months at least (if it passes). But if you live in base/easy commute it will make life a lot better than commuting to a west coast base for a little bit more money..... Choice is yours.... Great group of guys/gals here at XJT.

Best of luck!
