The problem centers around ETB virtual credits right? Virtual credits are not necessary under line bidding. The problem has everything to do PBS.

You still have your line completion and integration to work through. Those are crap shoots and if a pairing fits, there you go. NO say over it. ASA guys like to complain about the award time but I remember under line bidding guys getting ****ed because they never knew what would happen with integration. PBS is not the evil you've been led to believe. What ASA pilots have is not truly PBS in the sense that CAL pilots have. We have something akin to weekly line bidding. If its available and it doesn't conflict with your other choices, it is your's. Your team is preaching timelyness instead of quality. The company is salivating at the chance to get what your team has proposed. It is a fooking gift!

One way to knock a few days of this process is for First Officers to give up the ability to not fly with certain Captains. I'm not terribly excited about the idea but it is likely worth three days to the whole process.

Spoilers, you and I are in the same boat! Don't you love it when a captain sees your number and ASSumes your experience level! It makes it so much better when they ask what "flight school" you come from!!!

I had two mechanics on my plane yesterday. They both stated they are getting E-175 maintenance manuals. Any word from anybody else on the L-ASA side?

This is nothing more than a rumor. We will never get the E175.

This rumor pops up ALL THE TIME.

I had an FO tell me once that training center guys (L-XJT) were heading to get their 175 types. Um, don't think so. I also heard that our DO had the CRJ700 manuals in his office, because "we're gonna be getting them".

BOTH those rumors were in 2007. Um, don't think so.

The MX guys may very well have the 175 MX manuals. And it's possible that the reason is they just secured a 175 MX contract for an operator that happens to fly into wherever they are, but the operator doesn't have their own MX there.

Happens all the time.

I'd be very surprised if Inc. doesn't have a fleet replacement plan for xjt.
