I don't think so. With the ASA MEC flight line or stay separate stance, there are no section 6 negotiations. Section 26 of our contract is specifically there to negotiate outside of section 6. But the company wanting cheap rates goes without saying.
We can be screwed if we don't come together. And the ASA MEC has made it clear they aren't really interested in that as much as keeping flight line.

I remember when JA played "I'm bending you over" about 4 years ago with CAL and about 3 years ago when you thought your language was iron clad for a single list. How did those 2 times work out?

What I'm saying is that without a joint contract, section 26 of ours still stands. And the company triggered it. These negotiations for these aircraft pay rates will be outside of section 6, the way it was intended when that section was written 8 years ago. Unless the XJT MEC is kind enough to let you guys in the grown ups table, I don't see it happening.

I guess the XJT pilots were right about the ASA pilots....It is us that need to get on board....They have gone from not wanting PBS at all to supporting a cheaper cost PBS that is supported by management and now they are giddy over the fact that the 70-90 seat payrate is going to be settled by an arbitrator shortly after the new Pinnacle rates hit the street.....
Bravo XJT MEC...You really showed us how to hold the line.
The good news with all of this is we will now be more cost competitive....Provided all of this passes the pilots now that almost everyone is going to hate the TA now....

Yup, a sign of a TA with compromise on both sides is like the fiscal cliff deal, everybody on both sides is ****ed off.
L-ASA guys, I think our chances of keeping Flight Line PBS has vanished. All signs point to the company supporting Smartpref. If L-XJT is able to back out of their No PBS stance, we can meet them in the middle by letting Flight Line go.
