The one with the most flights. I'd get on passrider.com and just start looking. Since you live in a base for USAirways, it ought to be pretty easy, as you will have two airlines, minimum, that serve the two cities you commute between.

Do you HONESTLY believe pilot compensation is going to be the deciding factor? Not the duplicate sets of management, not the inefficiency of the scheduling department, not the millions spent on AceyDays, focus groups, and web page overhauls? You're that ready to take concessions to "save the company" before management makes any effort to reform their side of the house? You would be a fool, because your money will be wasted and the company will still go out of business. I have news for you: the way this place is being run right now, no amount of concessions will save it. Even on a Pinnacle contract, this company would be losing money.

"If he is not given an assignment within one (1) hour, he will be
permitted to leave the airport and remain on-call and on duty, though
not earning per diem, or be released into domicile rest pursuant to
Section 12.D.3.a."
Nowhere does it say I'm obliged to call back. It does say something about an electronic process. I checked the computer before I left, so I complied with this.
see the highlighted text above.
I am hoping Captain Tony will chime in on this one- he's got plenty of experience with the abuses of scheduling too.
In regard to leaving the airport without checking in- completely insane. It tells you to call, ya gotta' do it. If not, you are subjecting yourself to disciplinary action and an occurrence. I'd rather save those for when I'm sick. Don't kid yourself either- they're keeping up with it, especially since we are "adequately staffed" this summer.

so does anyone have any updates on the negotiations this week. Have they made progress as they sad they likely would?

"Update: The steakhouse was spectacular, the Cohibas tasted great, and that VSOP was fantastic. It may be too hot to play golf tomorrow, but we'll keep you updated. Remember, though, we must remain cost competitive".
