Are you familiar with the term "pattern bargaining"? You don't only get to employ it when it suits you....ALPA pioneered "pattern bargaining" and it can be a two way street. Mainline watched the pattern regress the past decade and they will never get back to where they were in 2000.

2 questions to ask are:

1. How does this compare to the industry?

2. What are the possible consequences to voting NO?

Although that may be the case, why not change it to match our current methods and Express side? It doesn't make much sense to me.

As for the rest of the contract, it's crap. I'll stick with my NO.

They are both essentially the same. Your not suppose to drop the brake until your ready to move...either under your own power or tug. It's the same. There are bigger fish to fry, and it is more important to keep other things than get language that wouldn't change anything anyways.

I agree there are, but these small things add up too. There are a lot of subtle changes I'm noticing that are not in our favor.

There always are in contract negotiations. You don't get everything in your favor. Overall it is an improvement. Overall it is far better than other regionals.

That is highly debatable, especially for the ERJ side.

That is most likely true.

Joe's a company guy. He will vote for anything.

Can't rely on an unbiased objective opinion from him..that's not a punch in the shorts either. From years of posting that's what I've gathered. He is what he is...calling a spade a spade. No insult.

Btw I do agree SO FAR this is better than the other turds floating in this industry. Which isn't saying much btw...carriers who I refuse to speak of anymore set the standard so low.
