I was surprised it came out early. I expected a crew message at the last minute apologizing for it being late.

Seriously, what are you a chief pilot or an IP? Or have you been an FO longer than they have been with the company?

The one and only time I had to urgently take the controls from another pilot other than back in flight instructing. Come to think of it I felt like an instructor all over again. Her personality has gotten better but the flying skills......wow!

Don't just take the word of the usual suspects like Tony, JoeMerchant, Southerner, or whom ever else THINKS they have a good handle on what the L-XJT wants out of this whole thing.

You know, the senior "I got mine so screw everybody else" crowd

Good post man!

I think because of the loss of the 8 700's to GOjet and the loss of the 200's in the fall of 2011.

Forget the exact number but staffing was heavy for a period of time there.

This is just my take on it and I could be wrong. If that rumor about United kickin 145's to the curb and bringin in bigger CRJ's is true that will be pretty sick! Hopefully it is true. Get some movement and get the L-Xjet of their high horse. I know that's immature but they are annoying.
You do realize that XJT has replacement rights?

And you do realize that United SCOPE is unlimited 70 seaters and they still have you guys fly ERJs around, are they waiting to stack up on CRJ 900 or E175 is the question. Just because you have replacement rights don't mean a thing, your company will have to play ball if they wish to continue business past your current contract with United!

Yep, the one trip I did with him, we had a Fed on the J/S the first leg and I had just transitioned to the airplane -- we both ended up with letters.

I'm just a (relatively) junior FO.

Reading B.3 and B.4 of the TPA, I think it depends on what form the flying takes (an extension of a current CPA or a new CPA) -- Could mgmt. agree to cancel their current CPA with United and sign a new one to fly 70s and place them wherever they wanted? (Not scaremongering, just trying to understand the contract language).

Is SkyWest going to sue itself for replacing those planes and putting them somewhere else within the Inc stable?

You are incorrect in your assessment and you've applied the wrong premise to this argument.

What I'm saying is that when the ERJ leases begin to expire, if sCAL wants to replace those with ANY aircraft their scope allows, it must be flown by ERJ pilots.

I don't know but I'm sure they will try anything to not treat their pilots with the dignity and respect they preach about if it means they can get cheaper pilots to do the flying. I would guess there might be a little bit of labor strife if they do that.

No, but the entity they made that agreement with, with clear intent and in good faith might.
